Jon Hoag, attorney in the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group, will present on OSHA’s new enforcement program and how you can be sure your organization is prepared if they come knocking. This all day seminar is presented by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and will take place on September 24, 2013 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Keller Convention Center in Effingham, IL.
OSHA now "encourages" compliance through increased penalties and public shaming. This seminar is designed to assist employers in preparing for an OSHA inspection and for handling any and all phases of OSHA proceedings. Employers will learn any changes to OSHA laws and how to stay fully compliant with those changes. Topics will include:
- How OSHA enforcement is currently structured
- How to prepare before OSHA arrives and what to do when/if they arrive
- Rights as an employer especially in the face of whistleblower claims
- What to expect after an inspection and how to respond to any citations received
