Stephen is a litigator through and through. He can litigate a case front to back and jump in at any point in the process knowing how to navigate a case towards a good resolution.
Stephen provides counsel on issues that arise when running a government, including municipal litigation, Section 1983, IDHR and EEOC defense, land use and zoning regulation. Stephen previously represented clients in criminal and civil cases as a plaintiff’s attorney. He has a plethora of election law experience and has represented small businesses in licensing and zoning issues.
As a member of the firm’s Commercial Transportation Practice Group, Stephen represents truckers, manufacturers, and logistics providers in wrongful death, bodily injury and premises liability matters.
Stephen is fluent in Spanish and serves as a mentor for the Latino Law Students Association of UIC JMLS where he has also coached trial teams.
