The nature of government work is litigious. Stephen provides counsel to clients on all issues that arise when running a government, including police misconduct, outstanding debts, employee termination, and water and land use. He focuses his practice on municipal litigation, Section 1983, IDHR and EEOC defense, land use and zoning regulation.
Stephen previously represented clients in criminal and civil cases as a plaintiff’s attorney. He has a plethora of election law experience and has represented small businesses in licensing and zoning issues.
Stephen firmly believes that there is always more to learn and he looks at matters from every perspective. His clients appreciate his honesty and his dedication to resolving their issues. Stephen also speaks conversational Spanish.
