Pennsylvania State University, M.S., 2009

Macalester College, B.S., 2003

As a geology student, Dan learned to unravel complex history and distill it down to a cogent scientific argument. As a lawyer, he uses the same skills to get to the bottom of complicated legal issues.

Over the course of his career Dan has represented individuals, corporations and insurers as both plaintiffs and defendants. His broad experience allows him to consider matters from a variety of vantage points and to think creatively about solutions. Dan assists clients with commercial general liability and title policies, contract disputes, construction disputes, and environmental issues concerning real estate. His clients work in a wide variety of industries including, construction, financial, restaurant and real estate.

Prior to law school Dan worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation of Natural Resources, revising and updating geological maps, and later did field testing with a private sector environmental consulting firm working on brownfield redevelopment sites. These experiences still inform his work today as he advises clients dealing with environmental due diligence.

Dan has always felt deep ties to his home city of Milwaukee and enjoys working with organizations dedicated to beautifying the city and strengthening its various communities through the development of arts, businesses, housing and public spaces. Outside the office, Dan volunteers with the Victory Garden Initiative and has worked with the Greater Milwaukee Committee, and various business improvement districts and community organizations.
