“Malicious Prosecution Claim Fails to Garner Panel’s Favor” - Mike Resis Discusses in CDLB Article

December 19, 2012

Mike Resis, Chair of the firm’s Appellate Practice Group, was quoted in the December 19, 2012 edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Mike discusses the dismissal of a malicious prosecution case that was affirmed by the First District Appellate Court.

In the article, “Malicious Prosecution Claim Fails to Garner Panel’s Favor,” Mike explanted why he thought the appellate court upheld the trial court’s ruling.

“We think the court sensibly recognized that representing a client on multiple administrative cases, which is required to pursue administrative remedies, did not support the recognition of special injury.”

SmithAmundsen Attorneys Ellen Green and Andrew Seiber were cited for their participation in representing one of the named defendants.
