SmithAmundsen attorneys Gary Zhao and Jeffrey Glass will depart this weekend for an eight-day trade mission trip to China. They will be traveling with a 30-person delegation of Illinois public officials, academics, and business executives. The group includes Governor Pat Quinn as well as executives from three large Illinois companies—Archer Daniels Midland Co., United Continental Holdings Inc. and Navistar International Corp.—plus five execs from smaller, privately held firms. Others on the mission include elected officials such as Rockford, IL mayor, Lawrence J. Morrissey. The group will visit Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
While meeting with key Chinese business leaders, Gary and Jeff will promote Illinois' exports and encourage Chinese companies to invest in Illinois. Read more here.
