In today’s digital age, companies are faced with a much harder task of monitoring and maintaining their online reputation. Consumers can read one bad review, and then not take the time to dig deeper and find out if the review was truly representative of the company.

Ryan suggests a proactive approach to dealing with these types of issues. While freedom of speech should not be limited, if there is something that is detrimental to a company’s reputation and/or revenue, it may be prudent to invest in a lawyer with experience. As Ryan says, “the value of a credible online presence should not be taken for granted.”
