Glen Amundsen is the Chairman and CEO of SmithAmundsen. He is an experienced trial lawyer, having tried over 80 cases to verdict. Glen is frequently the lead trial counsel for the firm’s most complex and highest profile matters. Glen concentrates his practice on litigating commercial contract and tort related disputes. He is regularly retained to represent the interests of business enterprises, governmental entities, and various professionals in federal and state courts and administrative forums. Glen also performs monitoring work and associates as coordinating counsel at the request of business and insurance clients in complex litigation matters. In addition to his litigation expertise, Glen is an experienced mediator with formal training accredited by the United States Arbitration & Mediation Association.

Glen was named to the Illinois Super Lawyers* list for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, a peer review designation published by Law & Politics magazine. He is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell for his legal ability and ethics. Glen was named a Leading Lawyer in alternative dispute resolution law (personal injury); insurance, insurance coverage and reinsurance law; personal injury defense law; and products liability defense law by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company.
