Bob Jackson handles of variety of matters relating to tax law. He represents clients in tax disputes, tax delinquencies and ruling requests. He also handles audits of individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, exempt organizations and qualified retirement plans. His range of audit experience is with the Internal Revenue Service and with state and city revenue departments. The audits involve income tax, estate tax, employment tax, excise tax, innocent spouse claims, qualification of retirement plans, tax-exempt municipal and nonprofit bonds, and penalties.
In addition, Bob defends federal and state tax collection efforts against individuals and business entities. He negotiates installment agreements and offers in compromise, and he helps his clients deal with federal and state tax liens and levies. He also advises taxpayers who have delinquent or inaccurate returns.
Bob files ruling requests with the Internal Revenue Service and with state revenue departments. He also files technical advice requests in connection with Internal Revenue Service audits.
Bob evaluates tax plans, often in collaboration with accountants, financial advisors and other professionals.
