In the expansive and ever-changing health care field, Philip’s clients appreciate his ability to recognize and explain complex issues affecting their business. As a member of our Health Care Practice Group, he regularly advises and defends health care providers who are faced with complex legal issues involving medical malpractice, contractual disputes, premise liability, products liability and regulatory compliance. He has represented hospitals and health care systems, surgery centers, individual physicians and medical groups, long-term care rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing centers, and dialysis centers. Philip has extensive experience representing these health care providers in administrative proceedings and in civil litigation, from inception through jury trial.

Experience

  • Second-chaired defense of general practitioner during jury trial in Marion County Superior Court 14 which resulted in verdict for the general practitioner
  • Second-chaired defense of nephrologist during jury trial in Hancock County Circuit Court which resulted in verdict for the nephrologist
  • Successfully obtained numerous unanimous Medical Review Panel opinions on behalf of a variety of health care providers including hospitals, health care groups, and physicians
