For Matt being an attorney isn’t a job, it’s a calling. In this profession he is compelled to help people. He stands between his clients and the threat of litigation. Matt handles intellectual property, information technology, e-commerce, telecommunications, corporate and media issues. He is a keen advocate during litigation, representing corporate and individual clients in matters relating to business, corporate and contract issues. He has litigated telecommunications, trade secret, copyright, trademark and patent matters for numerous clients.

Matt gained a lot of valuable litigation experience early in his career. Two weeks before taking the bar exam he took a meeting with a photographer and stumbled upon one of the biggest copyright infringement cases in recent years. He took on great responsibility preparing for the case and worked among lawyers with monumental careers. His early litigation experience also includes being part of the discovery process in a trial that resulted in one of the largest patent infringement verdicts in U.S. history for his client.

In his transactional practice, Matt composes technology and intellectual property transfer license and procurement agreements. His experience includes negotiating various television, co-marketing agreements, sponsorship agreements and endorsement agreements on behalf of advertisers and personalities. Matt regularly advises clients regarding e-commerce issues, preparing terms and conditions of use for web sites, drafting privacy policies for web sites and evaluating web site content for compliance issues. He also advises organizations and corporations on creating internal intellectual property and social media policies and contracts for use with their employees.

Outside the office Matt enjoys being a new father to daughter, Elena.
