JT has experienced first-hand the challenges and difficult decisions organizations face every day. After receiving his Master’s Degree in human resources and labor relations from Michigan State University, JT began a career in human resources at a large glass manufacturing company. As an HR manager at the company’s largest facility, JT was responsible for all aspects of human resources and labor relations for both union and non-union employees. After seven years in human resources, JT decided that he wanted to make a broader impact in helping organizations navigate the ever evolving labor and employment landscape—so he went to law school to become a labor and employment attorney.
JT’s strong people skills, along with a no-nonsense approach to addressing legal issues, has helped him establish and maintain a relationship of trust and confidence with his clients as someone they can rely on to guide them through their legal matters. He is dedicated to working with his clients to not only defend against past errors, but prevent future problems. He strives to understand the unique aspects of each client’s needs, so he can work with them to create custom tailored solutions unique to their needs. He is able to draw on his HR experience when advising employers on how to reduce or eliminate the risk of litigation and zealously represent them when litigation does arise.
