Chief Information Officer

With 10 years of leadership experience with AmLaw 100 and 250 firms, Randall Kalik has served as SmithAmundsen’s Chief Information Officer since 2007 and is based in the Chicago office. He is responsible for leading and implementing the latest effective and efficient information technology initiatives across the firm to best facilitate the practice of law. In addition, Randall manages the firm's technology needs and oversees the management, acquisition, and integration of the firm's information resources. His oversight includes strategic planning, policy, capital planning, systems development, telecommunications, information security data management, enterprise architecture, e-learning, and user computing.

Prior to joining SmithAmundsen, Randall held senior IT management positions at several large law firms in the U.S. He has several years of experience in the legal technology sector and led multiple firms through successful major change initiatives.
