In April 2010, the DRI held its annual Product Liability Conference entitled, “The Masters Of Product Liability Litigation.” In preparation for the conference, two lawyers from the DRI's Product Liability Committee, Young Lawyers Division, in each Federal Judicial Circuit of the United States were selected to write the 2010 case law update in which all relevant product liability decisions from state court and federal court in 2009 were analyzed.  The following topics are covered: Tort Reform; Tobacco Litigation; Market Share Liability; Automobiles; Environmental and “Green" Litigation; Drug Litigation; Class Action; Pre-emption; and a general "Other" category.

Seth Howard from SmithAmundsen's Chicago office drafted the analysis for Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and the United States Seventh Circuit.  Also attached for your reference is the entire case law summary for every state and Federal Circuit Court in the country, Product Liability Case Law Updates.
