Tim Epstein Authors Article on Litigation in College Athletics for Chicago Daily Law Bulletin

An article written by Tim Epstein, Chair of the firm’s Sports Law Practice Group, focusing on the litigious environment of college athletics was published in the December 4, 2012 edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.

Tim’s article, “Coaches Must Remain Cognizant of Claims,” summarizes several recent allegations of abuse in college athletics and identifies how universities and coaches have suffered beyond the financial costs endured from legal liability.

He also acknowledges that the overall mentality towards pain and weakness is changing in athletics and recommends coaches understand the difference between encouragement and abuse in college athletics today.
