On April 17, 2010, SmithAmundsen’s Diversity Task Force and Hiring Committee sponsored University of Wisconsin Law School's annual LEO (Legal Education Opportunities) banquet. The student-run LEO organization comprises five groups: students of Asian-Pacific Islander and South Asian descent (APALSA-SALSA), African-American students (BLSA), Latino/a students (LLSA), Middle Eastern students (MELSA), and Native American law students (ILSA). SmithAmundsen is a proud sponsor of the organization and has recruited its members for the firm's Summer Associate Program and Associate class upon graduation and has hired 5 LEO students within the last 5 years.
The following SmithAmundsen attorneys attended: Ryan Jacobson, Darren Grady, Rayen Dennis, and Kyra Flores. In addition, law students Yesha Sutaria and Carly Zuba, joined our attorneys at the SmithAmundsen’s LEO banquet table. Yesha was a summer associate last summer and will join SmithAmundsen in the fall and Carly will participate in our summer associate program this year.
