On Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 12:00 pm Linda Newman, a partner in the firm's Health Care Practice Group, served as a panelist at the Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce's panel presentation entitled, "Pandemic Health Issues that Affect Business." The panel provided employers with a guide to pandemic preparation by defining a pandemic and what an employer is required to do in preparation including policies and procedures that need to be followed in the event of an outbreak or requests for leave. SmithAmundsen's Julie Proscia, a partner in the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group, moderated the session. The discussion will took place at Hotel Arista at City Gate in Naperville, IL and was sponsored in part by SmithAmundsen and Benefit Decisions.
