On July 9, 2009,
Julie Proscia
, a partner of SmithAmundsen's
Labor & Employment Practice Group
, presented on the first hundred days of office and beyond. During this business owners must webinar Julie explained how the first hundred days in office (and beyond) has generated legislation and proposals that greatly affect business. The webinar included everything from Lily Ledbetter, COBRA, FMLA, and EFCA to changes in the NLRB and more. The webinar offered a comprehensive look at how the advent and induction of legislation like the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has changed the way that we need to do business. It also offered insights into what is coming around the corner and what businesses need to watch out for and start implementing in order to be one step ahead of the changes.
