On Monday, August 17, 2009, Jeffrey Glass, was named to the Rockford, Illinois newly formed City Budget and Finance Advisory Group.  The 14-member ad hoc committee, announced by Mayor Larry Morrissey at the City Council meeting, will offer advice on cutting expenses, increasing revenue, maximizing the city’s collective bargaining, and making inroads toward pension reform.

The group, born out of a looming $2.2 million budget deficit this year and a projected budget deficit of nearly $6 million in 2010, represents a cross-section of business and finance leaders.
