Carly J Zuba
Associate
Carly represents the interests of management in all areas of labor and employment law. Carly's employment practice includes defending claims under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. Carly also represents management in defending against employee claims before administrative agencies. Additionally, Carly is constantly advising clients on a wide array of employment and labor related matters, including employment contracts, severance agreements, affirmative action plans, employee handbooks, personnel policies, termination decisions, union avoidance, and other day-to-day human resources issues.
Before joining SmithAmundsen, Carly worked as a summer associate in SmithAmundsen’s Chicago office. Carly also completed an internship for the Honorable Judge William E. Callahan at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. In addition to competing and coaching on the University of Wisconsin Moot Court Team, Carly served on the executive board and was the director of the University of Wisconsin's annual Evan A. Evans Moot Court Competition.
Outside of the office, Carly serves on the professionals board for Open Heart Magic, an organization that strives to use the therapeutic power of magic and laughter to energize and strengthen seriously ill children in Chicago-area hospitals, and aid their healing.
