Neil G. Wolf

Neil Wolf is General Counsel for Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois and also Of Counsel at SmithAmundsen. Neil is an employment and labor attorney with extensive litigation experience in federal and state courts and administrative agencies. He has 18 years of experience representing a variety of businesses and organizations on a broad range of employment law matters such as claims for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract and wrongful discharge, and the negotiation of executive employment agreements. He has successfully defended employers against unfair labor practice charges and in grievance arbitrations concerning terminations and a variety of other issues. Neil has particular experience defending against complex, novel, and high-risk employment claims. A skilled counselor and negotiator as well as litigator, Neil advises clients on managing and successfully resolving disputes with high-level executives concerning employment agreements, ownership interests, and claims for breach of fiduciary duty and other torts. Neil also has extensive experience representing businesses and individuals in disputes involving non-competition and other post-employment restrictions.
Neil is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and has knowledge of employment law matters and other legal issues pertinent to higher education. He also has significant experience handling claims and compliance matters arising under the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
