Julie Rubin is an equity partner with SmithAmundsen. She provides advice on coverage matters and litigates coverage disputes involving bodily injury, property damage, advertising injury, and employer’s liability coverages in, among other things, the environmental, toxic tort, products, construction, employment and transportation contexts. In addition, Julie has counseled professional liability providers in connection with a variety of errors and omissions claims. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois state court as well as the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and has represented clients in cases venued in state and federal courts in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin. Julie also has been admitted to practice law in Ohio (currently on inactive status).

Julie was named to the Illinois Super Lawyers* list for 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012, a peer review designation published by Law & Politics magazine. In addition, she was listed in the 2010 Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition for her work in insurance coverage. She was also named a Leading Lawyer by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company in the areas of insurance, insurance coverage, and reinsurance law, and named a Fellow to The Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society established to reflect the new face of the American bar.
