Ruth E. Robinson

Ruth Robinson is the managing partner of SmithAmundsen’s Rockford office, and concentrates her practice in civil litigation, personal injury defense, product liability defense, commercial litigation, probate, and medical malpractice defense. Ruth is also interested in farm law and agribusiness services. She is an experienced trial attorney with numerous personal injury jury verdicts as well as experience in the mediation and arbitration forum. Ruth has successfully handled a wide variety of legal matters including all aspects of personal injury defense, general litigation, probate, breach of contract matters, products liability cases, municipal issues and defense of medical negligence claims. Ruth serves as an arbitrator in Winnebago County’s Mandatory Arbitration Program and the American Arbitration Association. Ruth is also licensed in the Northern and Central Districts of the U.S. District Court in Illinois.

Ruth received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Northern Illinois University in 1984 and a Juris Doctor degree from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1991. While studying law at Chicago-Kent, Ruth earned her Environmental Law Certificate.
