Tanya is a partner in SmithAmundsen’s Chicago office. Her current practice areas include commercial transportation, product liability, and property damage litigation. She concentrates her practice on all types of civil litigation from contractual disputes to catastrophic personal injury matters. Tanya has also practiced in the area of professional liability focusing on accounting malpractice. She has achieved success in the courtroom, as well as positive resolution of cases through mediation, arbitrations and settlement negotiations. She is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois, United States District Court of Northern District of Illinois, United States District Court of Central District of Illinois, United States District Court of Southern District of Illinois, and United States District Court of Northern District of Indiana.
Tanya also coordinates immediate responses to catastrophic accidents as part of SmithAmundsen’s Rapid Response Team. By doing so, she has been able to achieve early evaluation of significant accidents, ensure the preservation of evidence and protect attorney client privilege. These efforts help her clients successfully and efficiently resolve matters due to the insight gained at each site. Tanya has been selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2012 Illinois Super Lawyers© magazine list of “Rising Stars*” in Illinois.
Tanya serves as a student mentor at The John Marshall Law School and participates in its Moot Court program by volunteering for the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy programs.
