John O’Neill, Sr. is a partner in the firm’s Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. He has practiced law in Wisconsin since 1982 and has tried over 150 cases to conclusion in the United States Federal Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and in Circuit Courts throughout the State of Wisconsin. John concentrates his practice in commercial transportation and insurance services. His rating from Martindale-Hubbell is AV (the publication’s highest).
In addition to his legal practice, John is very active in his community. He and his family are sustaining members of the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Urban Ecology Center, WUWM/ Milwaukee Public Radio and the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago. He is also a member of the Civil War Roundtable of Milwaukee, Inc.
John is a past President of the Board of Directors of the North Shore Swim Club, a past member of the Marquette University High School Athletic Booster Club as a swim team delegate, and a member of the United States Masters Swimming Association.
In addition, John is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He earned the Eagle Scout Award in 1972, and he was an Assistant Scoutmaster at BSA Troop 400 in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, a BSA lifeguard and a counselor for the Communications, Lifesaving, Swimming, Traffic Safety, and Truck Transportation Merit Badges. John participated as an advisor in Troop 400’s 2005 High Adventure kayaking trip to the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior and the 2006 backpacking trek at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
