Timothy R. Muehleisen is an associate in the firm’s St. Louis office where he focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, construction litigation, banking litigation, labor and employment disputes and general insurance defense. In 2011, Missouri Lawyers Weekly honored Tim as one of its 2011 Up & Coming Lawyers. The award honor attorneys under 40 or in their first 10 years of their careers. The recipient epitomizes excellence in the legal community and is identified as a leader in the community-at-large. Additionally, Tim was also named to the Missouri & Kansas Rising Stars list for 2011, a peer review designation by Law & Politics magazine.
Prior to joining the firm, Timothy handled matters in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, labor and employment disputes, construction litigation, contract disputes, commercial litigation, premises liability, products liability, toxic torts and general insurance defense. Most recently, he served in the role as special counsel in a class action lawsuit assisting lead counsel in the prosecution of a class action lawsuit on behalf of 40-plus hospitals in the state of Missouri against the tobacco industry in the pursuit of healthcare costs incurred for the treatment of charity care and bad debt patients. Additionally, Timothy has successfully defended clients’ interests in over seventy-five mediations/arbitrations.
In his community, Timothy volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and is the founder and head coach of the Jr. Cougar middle school football program for the Affton School District in St. Louis. He is also a board member of the Greek Literary Association for Kappa Sigma Fraternity (Beta-Gamma Chapter at the University of Missouri-Columbia). Timothy is licensed to practice in the states of Missouri and Illinois, as well as, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
