Amy M. Miller is an associate in the Woodstock, IL and Chicago, IL offices of SmithAmundsen and a member of the firm’s Corporate and Intellectual Property Practice Groups.
She focuses her practice in business and commercial law, and transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and commercial leasing. Amy is experienced in entity formation, corporate governance, contract preparation and negotiation, and employment law compliance. She also routinely assists clients with intellectual property matters, such as trademark prosecution and portfolio management, as well counseling clients regarding the ever changing world of internet law and e-commerce.
Prior to joining SmithAmundsen, Amy practiced at a business law firm in Crystal Lake, IL. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (General Bar).
After law school, Amy was a federal law clerk for the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, to Magistrate Judge P. Michael Mahoney in Rockford, IL. During law school, she was a clerk at a firm in DeKalb, IL.
Amy is a recipient of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce Presidential Award of Excellence as well as the 2003 Women’s Bar Foundation Scholarship. Outside of the office, Amy is an instructor of business law courses at Columbia College of Missouri, Crystal Lake Campus.
