Pat is the managing partner of SmithAmundsen’s Milwaukee, Wisconsin office, and a founding member of the firm. He is frequently engaged to defend complex matters for the firm’s highest profile clients in Wisconsin.
Pat’s practice consists of defending non-medical professionals such as architects, engineers, attorneys, broker/dealers, accountants, insurance agents, directors and officers, and realtors; as well as medical professionals, doctors, hospitals, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and nursing homes. A significant portion of Pat’s practice also consists of litigating matters involving construction defects, construction accidents, products liability, premises liability, and tort litigation involving catastrophic injuries. Pat is also often asked to litigate contract and commercial disputes and to give advice on contract drafting.
Pat is AV rated from Martindale-Hubbell for his legal ability and ethics, was selected for inclusion in the 2006 edition of Wisconsin Super Lawyers© magazine, and has tried many cases to successful verdicts both in Wisconsin and in Illinois.
