Nicholas G. Kourvetaris

Nicholas is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office focusing his practice in civil litigation, including the representation of school districts, forest preserve districts, zoological societies, homeowners, condominium associations, construction-related entities, and other business clients in defense of matters involving catastrophic bodily injuries and death, premises liability, construction litigation, contracts, property loss, and automobile litigation.  His experience includes extensive involvement in all aspects of the litigation process from the investigative phase through trial.  To date, Nicholas has defended 26 jury trials to verdict, 12 of  which have resulted in not guilty verdicts.  Nicholas has also participated in over 100 binding and mandatory arbitration hearings and has resolved several cases through dispositive motions.  He is licensed to practice law in Illinois state court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Nicholas is also the supervising attorney for the firm’s automobile litigation practice and serves as a mentor for the firm’s summer clerks.  Nicholas is fluent in Greek. 

Nicholas was named to the Illinois Rising Stars* list in 2008 and 2009, a peer review designation published by Law & Politics magazine.
