Anna M. Kazaz

Anna Kazaz is an associate at SmithAmundsen and a member of the firm’s Aerospace & Commercial Transportation Practice Group. She has represented clients in a wide variety of matters including personal injury defense, premises liability, products liability, employment law, and insurance coverage. Prior to working as an attorney in the United States, Anna successfully practiced law in Russia for four years in the areas of business and commercial law. She has expert knowledge of the legal framework and legal requirements of specific business sectors in Russia.
Anna earned her J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, Illinois. While in law school, Anna served as an executive editor of the DePaul Business and Commercial Law Journal, was named to the Dean’s List, and graduated with honors. She also holds a law degree with honors from the St. Petersburg State University School of Law, Russia.
Recently, Anna joined the Chicago Sister Cities International Program. She serves as part of the liaison committee responsible for with deepening cultural and economic ties between Chicago and Moscow. Anna was also recently awarded the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation (CVLS) Distinguished Service Award for the second year in a row for her volunteer work at the Jane Addams Legal Clinic in Chicago.
