Associate

Lisa is an associate in SmithAmundsen’s St. Louis office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, Intellectual Property Group, and Corporate Practice Groups. She is licensed to practice in Illinois, Missouri, the United States District Court of the Southern District of Illinois, and the Illinois Court of Appeals.

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Lisa worked in the areas of real estate contracts, development, leasing, and transactions, business formation, contract analysis, trademark application, and litigation preparation in both Missouri and Illinois. In addition, she has experience practicing in real estate title examination, and estate planning and litigation, dispute resolution, drafting trust agreements, and asset protection.

Lisa’s real estate practice includes custom drafting and negotiation of commercial and residential real estate purchase, sale, lease, construction, and development agreements, the drafting and review of condominium documents, review of condominium plats, and preparation of HUD compliant condominium declarations. She also has experience in the organization and operation of homeowner associations, enforcement of Declarations of Covenants and Restrictions, and association elections and procedures. In addition, she is experienced in the preparation and review of title policies, counsel through closing, preparing easements and documents related to boundary line adjustments and disputes, and the attachment, negotiation, and enforcement of mechanics liens.

Lisa’s business practice includes the formation, organization, and registration of corporations, partnerships, and LLC’s and maintaining annual corporate documentation, negotiating and drafting employment, contractor, and confidentiality agreements and business related financing documentation, and custom drafting and thorough review of business documents and agreements including lease agreements.

Her intellectual property practice includes the registration and renewal of trademarks and service marks, including design logos with the US Patent and Trademark Office and the State of Missouri, trademark protection, and preparation of licensing agreements.
