Bill is a member of the firm's Financial Services Group, concentrating his practice in the area of bankruptcy, corporate reorganization, and creditors' rights. Bill has significant experience representing debtors, lenders, secured creditors, creditors' committees and trustees, among others, in all manners of chapter 11 and chapter 7 cases as well as out-of-court workouts and restructurings. He also acts as outside bankruptcy counsel to a number of corporations and provides general business counseling in distressed situations.
Bill is a member of the bar in Illinois and New York. He is admitted to practice before the state courts in those jurisdictions and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, the Central District of Illinois, the Southern District of Illinois, the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the Northern District of Indiana, the Southern District of Indiana, the Western District of Michigan, and in the District of Colorado. He is also a member of the Trial Bar in the Northern District of Illinois. Bill has been named to the Rising Stars* list in 2011 and 2012, a peer review designation published by Law & Politics magazine.
