Craig A. Goode

Associate

Craig Goode is an associate in SmithAmundsen’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Financial Services, Class Action, Real Estate and Toxic Tort Practice Groups.

In his work with the Financial Services Practice Group, Craig handles bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, as well as foreclosures and other contractual and transactional matters. For the Class Action and Toxic Tort Practice Groups, Craig handles a variety of matters, including all stages of asbestos defense cases and Telephone Consumer Protection Act litigation.

Prior to joining SmithAmundsen, Craig acted as in house General Counsel for a Chicago real estate investment & management company, as well as a Chicago-based multimedia entertainment company. His past experience afforded him a great deal of exposure to varied legal disciplines. Craig practiced business-related law including litigation, corporate formation, governance, transactions, real estate, tax assessment appeal, trusts and estates, landlord-tenant issues, insurance defense, various tort liability matters, contracts, and collections. He also gained a wide variety of experience in labor and employment law including collective bargaining with unions and ADA litigation. Craig worked on a variety of major transactions including all stages of purchasing major Chicago high-rise buildings. In addition, Craig has intellectual property experience including drafting patent, trademark, and copyright applications.
