Corinne E. Cater
Associate
Corinne is an associate in SmithAmundsen’s Chicago office where she is handles cases including product liability, retail litigation, and public entity & governmental liability.
Before joining the firm, Corinne was a summer associate for SmithAmundsen, conducting research in various areas of state and federal law involving Title Seven, water rights, privacy, and defamation. She also served as a Majority Legal Intern for the House Committee on Homeland Security where she drafted proposed legislation. During law school, while working at a consulting firm, Corinne gained experience supporting client initiatives by researching foreign market industries and Securities and Exchange Commission policies in order to advise clients on proposed business developments. During her third year of law school, Corinne was the Problems and Briefs Chair of the Charles Hamilton Houston National Moot Court Team. She also served as the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Students Association in her second and third years at Howard University School of Law.
Out of the office, Corinne is an active member of the Cook County Bar Association and Howard University School of Law Alumni Association.
