SmithAmundsen Scholarship
In 2007, we established a SmithAmundsen scholarship with Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent College of Law. The scholarship rewarded excellence in legal writing and the recipient’s contribution to diversity as an integral part of the law school’s intensive first-year writing experience. Past recipients include:
2007 Recipient -
Theresa Williams
2008 Recipient -
Gwynne Kizer
2009 Recipient -
Elizabeth Tempel
2010 Recipient -
Elizabeth Camille
2011 Recipient-
Anne E. Marfisi
In 2012, the firm created the SmithAmundsen Scholarship for the Institute for Law and the Workplace (ILW). The scholarship will encourage racial diversity in the legal profession. In addition, we provide financial support as a sponsor of the law school’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA) trial advocacy team as a sponsor of the law school’s Thurgood Marshall trial team.
For more information on the SmithAmundsen scholarship, please contact Larry Schechtman at 312.894.3200.
