Professional Development & Training Program

Associates receive regular supervision, mentoring, and feedback from the firm’s partners and senior associates. In addition, the firm supplements this individualized training with a two-year Associate Training Program, consisting of a weekly series of skill-building seminars.  These sessions are conducted by senior attorneys at the firm and outside speakers or consultants. The first year of the training program covers firm-specific subjects (e.g.:  billing, time keeping, firm economics, and the like) as well as substantive topics ranging from conflicts/ethics, file evaluation, motion practice, order writing, and appellate practice. The second year of the program concentrates on building trial advocacy skills and culminates in a two-day, in-house Trial Academy.

Internal seminars are also provided for all attorneys on professional ethics, significant developments in the law, alternative dispute resolution, diversity, sexual harassment, and marketing, amongst others.
